An OEM order starts from a model already in production: a T9, an S5, a K7, a roller, or a stamp. The brief names the brand changes for that model: a logo on the pen, a printed carton, and a manual in the language named on the brief. A new body or a new cartridge interface is written as a configuration change, and the quote prices it as configuration.
The first message carries the brand, the model and the finish, the place the mark goes, the first run quantity, the planned repeat quantity, and the country the goods will ship to. The certificate file is quoted with the goods.
Two markets with two cartons are named in that first message. Artwork is prepared against the agreed sample. Request A Quote carries the model name in the message.
Models a first run can name
The pen finishes in production are T9 Golden, T9 Grey, S5 Blue, S5 Gold, K7 Pink, and K7 Black. The roller counts are 540, 180, and 192. The stamp lines are 169 and 141. The 141 line names white or black, and the 169 line names white or black.
A cartridge is an accessory on the pen, written as Cartridge 7701, Cartridge 7704, or Cartridge 7705. The pen page lists which series seats on that model. The brief copies that series onto the pen line.
Marks, cartons, and two markets
The place the mark goes is part of the first message. A mark on the housing and a mark on the carton are two placements. Two markets with two cartons are both named before artwork starts. The usual carton additions are print, an insert, and a short manual in the language named on the brief.
The sample shows the finish, the cartridge in the tray, and the carton. That sample is the reference for the artwork and for the bulk carton.
Configuration and the certificate file
A new body or a new cartridge interface is a configuration change, and the quote prices it as configuration. The certificate file is quoted with the goods. The files on the certification page are ISO 13485, CE LVD, CE EMC, and CE RoHS.
A repeat message can name the quantity, the destination country, and the model, with the current certificate scan. The first run sample remains the record for the finish and the print.
