A useful microneedling OEM brief lets the supplier identify the product, count the contents, and understand the brand changes before preparing a quotation. “A private-label pen kit” leaves too much open: the model, finish, cartridge, plug, packaging, and quantities can all change what is being quoted.

1. Build a clear SKU and kit list
The listed pen finishes are T9 Golden, T9 Grey, S5 Blue, S5 Gold, K7 Pink, and K7 Black. S5 Blue and S5 Gold have silver bodies with blue or gold accents. Name the full finish instead of writing only “S5.” Use the pen comparison if you are still deciding on the model.
The published pen packing set is one pen, two round nano cartridges, one charger adapter, one USB charging cable, and one instruction manual. Copy that into your brief as the starting set and mark every requested addition or substitution. Confirm the cartridge series and plug option; “two cartridges” alone does not identify the item. A compact assortment might include one pen finish, a 540 Roller, and a 169 Stamp. State whether the manual tools are packed separately or added to the pen kit. Do not use the number of kits as a substitute for the total roller, stamp, or cartridge count.
2. Define the logo, color, and packaging
A device logo and a box logo are separate placements. Mark their positions on a product photograph or drawing and give the desired size. For a custom color, provide a color reference and ask for feasibility and sample confirmation rather than assuming the catalog finish can be changed without affecting the order.
Specify standard packaging or requested custom print, an insert, labels, and manual language. Ask for the supplier’s dieline before finalizing box artwork. 3. Attach the files and commercial information
- Product references: page links or catalog photos matching each model and finish.
- Logo files: editable vector artwork where available, a preview, and placement notes. State the supplied format and ask which production format is required.
- Packaging and text: draft artwork, manual language and version, label text, and any barcode data you intend to use.
- Order information: company and contact, target market, delivery country and postal code, first-run quantities, estimated repeat demand, and desired timing.
- Sample and documents: what you need to inspect and which product documents you want reviewed for the named market and configuration.
Mark missing information “to confirm.” An unknown plug option or manual language should remain visible as an open question, not become a silent assumption. Planned dates are requests; MOQ, sampling, production timing, fees, and delivery terms require quotation confirmation.

Quote standard boxes and custom printed boxes as alternatives. The brand requests a sample before bulk approval, states its desired delivery month, and leaves the agreed schedule open.
